I log onto my social media sites daily and am overwhelmed at the articles marketed to women to get them to put something new and foreign in their vagina. It can be difficult to sort through the good versus the bad versus the downright ugly. It can be tricky since your vagina didn’t come with an owner’s manual. Let’s talk more about vaginal health.
Just to make sure we are all referring to the same area of the body, the vagina is the muscular, elastic passage way leading from the externals genitals to the cervix and the uterus. Another area that is commonly mistaken as the vagina is the vulva, which is the external genital organs. This is the whole genital “package.” The vulva is made up of the labia majora, mons pubis, labia minora, urethra and the clitoris. The vagina is a self cleaning organ. Its lubrication ensures that it stays clean and health, with very little outside assistance.
