AFIYA Magazine is looking for creative journalists and freelance writers who can produce captivating and educational content for our online publication. As a contributor, you will be responsible for researching and writing articles, blog posts, and other materials that engage our audience and share insightful content for readers.
AFIYA Magazine is always looking for contributors who are interested in sharing their knowledge, expertise and experiences as it relates to Black Women. We love to hear article pitches and story ideas. We’re looking for both regular contributors as well as those with a specific story they’d like to share. Health professionals with a knack for writing are encouraged to reach out. Currently, our publication shares stories and content within the following departments:
- Wellness: Articles diving deeper into various health and medical topics.
- Nourish & Recipes: Articles discussing nutrition, proper eating habits, creative meal ideas, etc.
- Relationships: Articles which discuss topics related to dating, parenting, marriage, and friendships.
- Natural Beauty: Articles focused on natural hair care, skin care and beauty regimens/products.
- Relax & Renew: Topics related to emotional, mental and spiritual health.
- Move: Physical fitness, workout routines, articles regarding movement and kinesiology.
- Community Corner: Highlights of various initiatives, projects, organizations, etc. giving back and/or supporting the community.
- Legacy Builders: Stories related to financial literacy, money management, and wealth-generating practices.
In addition to the above departments, we’re are open to publishing personal stories that fit the theme and mission of AFIYA.
