🖤 PCOS doesn’t always look the same. Irregular p 🖤 PCOS doesn’t always look the same.

Irregular periods, acne, unwanted hair growth, changes in weight, fatigue, fertility challenges, and other symptoms can be signs worth discussing with your healthcare provider.

Too often, Black women’s health concerns are overlooked, dismissed, or misdiagnosed. It’s never wrong to ask questions and advocate for yourself. Early recognition and an individualized treatment plan can make a difference.

✨ Save this post and share it with a Black woman who needs the reminder: your health concerns are valid.

✨“I often find myself reflecting on how many of us ✨“I often find myself reflecting on how many of us have learned to approach rest, peace, and gentleness as something we arrive at through achievement. We push, accomplish, nurture, solve, and survive. We become skilled at carrying what “needs” to be carried. Somewhere along the way, the question quietly changes from ‘How am I doing?’ to ‘Have I done enough to finally deserve ease?’ ” – Erica Noelle

Embracing rest and softness shouldn’t be an afterthought or feel like something that is unattainable. 🧘🏾‍♀️

Yet, for many Black women who have carried the weight of strength, caregiving, and leadership, this is a common sentiment.

In her first part of a two-part series, Erica Noelle dives deeper into this dynamic, shedding light on the history of this belief, and encouraging us to invite gentleness and rest back into our world. 💜
